My New Card

I now have a New Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer in my machine. The Install went smooth without a hitch. All my games sound great and the music also. I have an Intel 815EP based mother board.
I tried the Philips Acoustic Edge before settling for the Sound Blaster. I had a few problems with the A/E.
The Audigy so far is all I could have hoped for. My MidiLand 5.1 speakers sound great and many of the games I play seem to even run smoother and not just sound better. I'm guessing the card my use less CPU cycles.
I'm unsure why the Audigy get hammered so often. I'm very happy with it

As a Vortex2 user I can say with confidence that Creative makes inferior products, which I also own but no longer use.

Agreed, inferior sound, inferior drivers, inferior compatiblity. But then again, that's the Live! I'm talking about. I haven't personally tried the Audigy.

Yes, I really shouldn't say too much on the audigy as the highest I've gone with Creative was the Live Platinum 5.1.
