Brand New Build - MSI 7950 glitching out.

December 10, 2012 12:26:59 AM

Hello, I just put together a new build less than a week ago. i5 3570K, MSI HD7950 Twin Frozr, Asus P8Z77-v LK, 8GB Corsair Vengeance, OCZ ModXstream Pro 600W, etc. running Windows 8. I've played around a bit with overclocking but even on stock speeds I'm having some weird glitches in games. I've reinstalled the drivers twice, using Driver Sweeper in safe mode, also tried the new beta drivers and it doesn't seem to help.

I've noticed it in Skyrim with some weird black boxes and stuff, Sleeping Dogs had big blotches of color popping out at some places, Far Cry 3 seems to be fine though. I've ran FurMark, 3dMark 11, even Prime 95 but they all come up clean. Anyone have any idea what's going on? Thanks a lot for your help, and your smarts.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the highest the GPU went during the stress tests was 70°C, and that was OC'd. Wouldn't get over 60°C stock speeds.
