So currently I am running the AMD 1090T CPU as you can see in my signature. I am wondering if I should wait for Haswell or just do a total Ivy overhaul and SKIP the Haswell/Broadwell stage. Either way I have to get a new motherboard. Any thoughts?
I'm pretty interested in 4K, but none of us will get affordable monitors till 2014/2015.

If you want your PC now then just go for Ivy as prices are lower now. If you are willing to wait go for haswell and Nvidia's 700 series or AMD's 8000 series that should come out in 2013. You may not see a big difference in the graphics cards but nobody knows about the new processors. Intel have kept it very quiet. But dont expect the new products to be the same price as Ivy itll be more expensive.

That's what I figure. I was going to wait for Haswell but then realized that prices are going to be much higher for about a 10-15% increase I have heard. I'm probably not going to get an NVIDIA 700 series as I have a GTX 680. If anything I'll get another in SLI.

Just to move to Intel finally really. I know the 1090T could last me another year probably but I am sick of this motherboard and its incapabilities.
