3 Displays with the HD7950?

I recently just bought a MSI HD7950 (Link: http://www.msi.com/product/vga/R7950-2PMD3GD5-OC.html) for my new computer and I wanted to run triple displays with it. My three displays' resolutions are:

1. 1920 x 1080
2. & 3. 1280 x 1024

What I wanted to do was to just have an extended display throughout these three displays (NOT Eyefinity, just a desktop on one display extended to the other two displays on the sides). So I plugged the 1920 x 1080 into the HDMI slot. The 1280 x 1024 to the DVI slot and got an adapter (mini display port [male] to DVI [female]) for the third display. All three displays were detected, but I can only ever manage to active display 1 and either display 2 or 3. One of them (2 or 3) is always disabled, so to use 2 I've got to disable 3 and vice versa. So, is there a way to activate all three displays at once? Thanks.

Ah okay. The adaptor is a passive one. So for an active adaptor, do I need to get one with the USB power or without? Because the ones with USB power are quite expensive.
