So I am building a new system for a Christmas present after buying a new card during Black Friday and so while I wait for the rest of the parts to come in I decided to test the card out. It is identical to my current card but it does not show up in the device manager, even after a fresh Windows install. The fans are spinning but I know that doesn't mean much. I have tried it in both PCI-E slots on my mobo but that doesn't seem to change anything.
Z68 ASRock Extreme 3 Gen 3 mobo
GSkill 2x4GB ram
Cooler Master 620W PSU (Powers other card fine, also tested with an older PSU and no change)
current card : MSI GTX 560 Ti 448 core Twin Frozr III
new card that doesn't seem to work : EVGA GTX 560 Ti 448 cores
As you can see the card is out of stock and it would suck for RMA to take weeks to get me a replacement and probably miss Christmas time. Is there a laundry list of potential tests I can do that I haven't already done or am I SOL?
Alright so quick edit, all of a sudden now after the re-install, neither card works on my machine. Is this a mobo issue or something in the OS? I don't think both cards would experience the same issue all of a sudden.
