7950 or 7970 (vapor-x vs. oc boost)

I'm leaning to the 7970 (the extra money seems to get enough performance per dollar). From what I'm reading the Vapor-x is easier to OC. Finally, from the comments I have read the Sapphire family of cards provide better quality than others. ( ie xfx has cheap fans etc). Am I thinking correctly?

More about 7950 7970 vapor boost
  1. I love sapphire cards. Only other card i have owned was a MSI but i quickly went back and my most recent is a sapphire 7950 vapor-x. I was able to overclock it by 20% and keep it stable, which has it sitting about equal if not a bit better in some games than a GTX 670. I would highly suggest the 7970 Vapor-x.

Do you think its worth the extra $125 (ish) for the 7970? Will I see the OC difference to make it worth the cash?

Absolutely if you have the money and are willing to spend it. The 7970 Vapor-x was out of my budget which is why i went with the 7950 Vapor-x. If i can OC mine up to and past that of a GTX 670 without increasing the voltage then i imagine the 7970 vapor-x OC right wouuld blow a GTX 680 out of the water.
