Hello Fellas,
I would like to say thanks in advance as any help would be welcomed.
The problem is my PC crashes when i play any games. It doesn't bluescreen it just shuts down!
these are the things i have tried:
I have cleaned the pc of any dust,
I've defraged, used CC Cleaner, I tried Whocrashed, I have re installed xp, checked all the drivers are up to date.

Today I used OCCT and the cpu/memory usage test read:
core #0 over maximum value, value reached 88 max value is 85.

Do I need more memory?

My Spec is:

It sounds like the CPU is hitting 88 degrees C, which would indicate that it's overheating and crashing. Try applying new thermal-paste to the heatsink (clean off the old first of course).

I put some new thermal paste on the CPU today, and so far so good, no crashes!
Thanks
