Hi Jimmy,

as per your suggestion here my question again: (posted it in the thread
as it applied to it)

'Spybot' has a function in its advanced mode which enables you to delete
uninstall information. Anyone care to comment how effective that is?
I am asking because I have never needed to use this facility.

Hi Thomas,

I'm not a "Spybot Expert" however, most likely it is offering to
clear Spyware program listing from your Add-Remove programs
list after deleting the offending .dll's or executables.

That list is kept in the registry and is simply a matter of deleting
the key(s), which is straightforward enough for me to believe that
Spybot should be effective enough to complete that task. :)

It is actually a complete listing of the normal add/remove. The program
normally removes all entries of a spy/malware.
