I'm also considering this or buying the 7870, not sure of the performance gains for the Xfire config. I haven't made up my mind either.

The 7870 is better as it will perform almost exactly the same depending on CF scaling. Best scaling scenario the CF 6850 will have a hard time overtaking an HD 7870.

i have 2 x 6850's, enjoy the microstutter. Sell your current card and buy a single better card. I dont notice microstuttering all the time, it is very apparent in skyrim when things drop below 60fps though. You can cap your fps to the minimum fps your getting down to to remove microstutter, but it reduces your average fps obviously.

oh, and you will be bottlenecked by your cpu anyway, fx6100's are bad for gaming. You will see some benefit by upgrading your cpu.

^good deal have fun with your single powerful gpu.... what are you getting?

probably 7870 or maybe gtx660. leaning toward 7870 though. it seems to be nearly as powerful as 2 6850's but has more vram and no microstuttering.
