laptop wifi music to home stereo?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if it's possible to plug in a USB Bluetooth dongle into the back of a router. It would be nice not to have it in my laptop. My laptop has internal Bluetooth but every time i put my hand on the keyboard, it cuts in and out. So if i could get an external one with better range and put it in the router, that'd be great.

Basically, what i'm trying to do with this, is stream music to my stereo. I currently have a Bluetooth device that connects to my stereo and will stream all audio that is played from my laptop. The problem is that the range is horrendous and every time i type on my computer it cuts in and out. I've heard of some boxes that send music over wifi, but all the music must be in a centralized folder on the computer, and it won't play other computer audio.

If anyone knows any solutions, i appreciate it a lot. I've been looking for awhile for something.

No, it will only work if you plug it into a PC.

Also, the range of Bluetooth is supposed to be limited; it is a security feature.

So is there a better way to stream audio from my laptop to my stereo? What about Netgear Push 2 TV?
