I currently have a HD 7750 in my system, but someone I know is planning on upgrading their GTX 550 Ti and selling it at a great price. Should I upgrade and try to sell my 7750 or just keep it? What do you think the performance difference would be between the two cards?

You would get lower framerates and use more power. Yayyyyyy!

Not lower frame rates. Same frame rates. The two cards have very similar performance.

Overall they are similar. However the 7750 performs a bit better in DX 11 games. Also with 12.11 out, the 7750 will edge out a little more. I didn't say it would destroy the 550 Ti, I just believe overall the performance will be slightly higher.

I wouldn't call that an "upgrade" since both card have a similar performance. I would even probably call that a downgrade since GTX 550TI consumes more power than the greener 7750. Unless you go higher like a GTX 560 or GTX 650ti, keeping your 7750 is the best choice IMHO
