I hope this is the right category to be posting this.
Here are the things i'm looking to do:

I'm looking to mostly to play games on my computer. I'll be wanting to record the gameplay. Preferably i'll find a better recording software than Fraps that doesn't cause as much lag. When not recording, i'll play on normal video settings. When i am recording i'll play on the lowest settings possible. (I'm not picky about playing on ultra settings. I just want to play most all games on normal with no lag). I will also like to edit those recording with programs such as Sony Vegas. I do have a laptop (Macbook Pro), so i'm just looking to play, record, and edit pc games. I'm not one to push my computer to the limit - i'm very conservative and careful when it comes to that stuff. I have a 500gb hard drive so i can keep it clean. I would also like to add another video card down the road. Would my power supply and other things support two cards?

Much input would be very appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

I know i don't have a monitor on here but i'm considering this one: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-2457&~ck=baynoteSearch&baynote_bnrank=14&baynote_irrank=0

My max budget is 1000$ including shipping costs. I can go +$50-100 if it's a significant difference for what i want to do (Not including monitor cost). Windows 7 or 8 OS. I live in the United States.

I've put all of that information in my first post. $1150 maximum with everything together.

Here is what I would go with. I chose the Extreme 4 motherboard because it has x8/x8 PCIe lanes for Crossfire. There are some H77 motherboards that allow for Crossfire but they are x16/PCIe 2.0 x4 CrossFire. I asked about this in the Motherboards section of the forums as to what kind of performance hit is done to the second card on PCIe 2.0 x4. If someone else can clarify or show some charts about this, to verify that there is not a big performance hit on the second card, you can go with an H77 board and still Crossfire later.
