Building a PC for my friend, whose budget is 600€. I'm just wondering what you think. It's for gaming, and i was wondering:
-Is the PSU strong enough?
-Can i get better (or the same) for less?
-Will it all go together?

Thanks!

What i'm thinking:

Case: Aerocool Strike-X ONE advance (not gonna change it, because it's the cheapest on our website)
GPU: Asus GTX650-E-1GD5
CPU: AMD FX-4170 4.2GHz
CPU COOLER: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo (is it compatible with the MOBO and CPU?)
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3
RAM: Silicon Power DDR3 (2X 4GB)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
PSU: LC power silent Giant LC6550GP2 V2.2 Green Power 550W (powerfull enough?)
Thermal Paste

Will this run game like Crysis or Far Cry 3 On max settings?
Thanks!

Never heard of your PSU , and since you havent given a link Im going to guess and say its junk . Use only 80+ bronze or better power supplies . 450 watt would be enough

I would tend to use the FX 4100 and just overclock it to 4170 speeds. In all other ways they are identical , or if you can afford it then the FX 6300 which uses less power and gives better performance

Make sure the RAM is 1.5 volt or less

Gaming performance is dependent on your graphics card, and your screen resolution more than anything else . High resolutions screens have more pixels for the graphics card to calculate so games run slower or you have to reduce detail settings. The 650 loooks like a decent budget card butits not going to play games like BF3 on high image setting at 1080p

For around the same price a Radeon 7770 gives a little better performance

No, it will not run crysis or far cry 3 at maximum settings with a 650, that is with a 1080p monitor, see if you can get a 650 ti or 7850 from amd(the 7850 being the best choice).
That psu is junk, it's made by great wall.
Get a decent one from corsair, xfx, seasonic, antec, pc power and cooling, fsp, ocz within 450-500w.

That power supply is complete crap - you should definitely not purchase it.

You don't need the extra thermal compound - your fan will come with some good solution.

What store are you buying from? If you post that it will help to suggest parts.

The gpu is good, the ram too.
But it's wise to get a better psu, i doesn't have to be from corsair, there're other good brands too, but the one you listed isn't good.
It will power a 7770, but if you can find a better one within the price, it will be better.

What are your opinions on the Cheiftec A-135 aps-500s?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817202014

It's 60€.

Either that or the Spire Black dragon 500 500w

And I'm ordering from MIMOVRSTE, a slovenian company, where i had good experience before.

http://www.mimovrste.com/

Thanks, Iceclock for some ideas, but here in Slovenia those things aren't as cheap than in USA, UK... although you definetely changed my mind on some things...

Oh, Iceclock, are you talking about this MOBO? http://www.mimovrste.com/artikel/2380005018/q=GigabyteGA-970A/maticna-plosca-gigabyte-ga-970a-d3-am3-am3

Tell me what you think of it! Thanks!

Chefitec is another brand that makes garbage power supplies. You don't want to skimp if you can help it. That Spire one also looks pretty sketchy. Don't go cheap on the power supply otherwise it will likely blow up on you and take your system out with it. Tread carefully here. I'm searching that site to see if I can find anything but man those prices... :ouch:
