Friends, forumers, and PC-users, I come here not to bury Windows 7, but to praise her...

Errr, I was just wondering if anyone here had experience getting the touch-pad to work properly on the newer Macbook? The click doesn't seem to work. This is for a friend who wanted to try 7 out, and it would be good to see him leave OS X behind...

Just a nubbins question...but you are positive that the MacBook has a functioning touchscreen right?

What you need is a functioning driver for the (Mac) touchpad, which was written for Windows. Good luck with that.

In the meantime, you should be able to connect a USB mouse and get it to work on the defaults.

Honestly OP, I'd just rely on the mouse... in any case here's a how-to that might be useful: http://cultofmac.com/howto-windows [...] rnoon/7184

Huh Roffey? I think OP meant the touchpad near the keyboard, not touchscreen display.

Macbooks don't have touchscreen displays.
