Mid-Build Crisis!!!

So I am almost done building my first PC, when I started to connect all the cables I realized that my CD drive uses an old ribbon cable (took it out of my old dell PC to save cash) and my new mobo doesn't seem to have a IDE spot, only has sata spots, is there any way for me to use this drive or am I going to have to spend the cash on buying a new optical drive?

There are SATA to IDE adapters, but I'm uncertain how well they work; it's a kludgy "solution," and costs money anyway, so you may as well get a SATA optical drive.

I have no idea where you live

But, a sata based dvd burner should only be $20 or so.

It really is a better way to attach a drive.

If you have a USB drive you can use that to install windows (assuming thats why you need one)
