I am soon building a new pc with two ASUS GTX670 4GB in SLI. I already have two HP 17 inch monitors(1280x1024) and I am buying an Acer 21.5 inch(1920x1080) display too. Will it be possible to use this for NVIDIA Surround. Just have the vertical resolution at 1024 and make the middle display adjust to this resolution. Or will I have to use softTH?

I think I might have one more 17 inch display, just in case. But it might be weird playing on 3840x1024.

I don't think it would be weird. I cannot answer you first question, though.

No all have to be exactly the same res. I would suggest 3x 1920x1080 otherwise your sli 670's are a waist I have 3x1080 on a single 670 and in runs allot of games maxed and almost all on high settings with a few exceptions. Examples of maxxed would be last 2 need for speed games and the dirt series games on high BF3 Skyrim games that are a bit slugginsh so far farcry 3 still working on best settings for this.
