This isn't a very good rig. Get rid of the 2600k and get a 3570k. That motherboard isn't good.
Get this motherboard

If you want a 7870 get this one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161404
It is a little cheaper than what you've got picked out. Or since you aren't wasting money on a 2600k, you could get a 7950.
I would get this ram

I would look at an open box asus monitor

Thanks for the answer, I know that motherboard isn't that good. Do you think it will handle the 7870? Is the 2600 bad for games or something? The monitor cost me 60 bucks, so yeah haha.

Also I thought all 7870 manufacturer were relative good.. how come is that HIS better than a Gigabyte?

Like I said I won't be able to change anything for a long time, (I had most of the parts since last year, only getting the GPU.. I had a 8600GS before haha)

Do you think I will be stable for long hours of gaming?

I seriously didn't expect an 8! haha
I had the i7 since last year with a shitty GPU. I'm getting the GPU recently and I was on a 300- budget (shipping, taxes)

Do you think I will be playing games like CS:GO, B3, PoE, etc on high/ultra stable?

The 2600k won't be bad for gaming, but the 3570k will perform the same if not slightly better and it's far cheaper. Gigabyte is a good manufacturer, but the HIS is $200 after rebate. That's the only reason. Also, if you aren't upgrading for a long time, I would suggest a 7950.

Thanks again man. I have the card coming on monday and I seriously don't have the budget for a 7950 (I got 250 bucks gifted recently on a gaming community to upgrade my card, crazy right?) I barely gathered the money for the shipping/taxes.

I have two questions for you:

1) Will I be able to get the GPU working with the MOBO and PS?
2) Do you think I will be running games like B3 on high/ultra settings?

out of 10 its a 2

wrong processor

buy the RAM as a kit of 2 x4 , make sure its 1.5 volt

the RE4 hard drive is not for desktops . Buy a Blue

the P67 mb wont run your processor without a BIOS update , which means a donor cpu first . Use a board with a Z77 chipset

The cm power supply is probably overkill . You really need 500 watts to run that

Is it really that bad ^ ? If you guys are giving it 2 - 3 our of 10 does it mean I won't be able to run games?

I probably made a mistake with the HD in the site didn't find the 1TB one there..

Sadly I din't choose the CPU or motherboard, I plan on change the MOBO next, but is the CPU really that bad... ?

I mainly will be playing, CS:GO, PoE, Skyrym, B3.

Those guys giving it 2-3 out of 10 really made me insecure. I probably messed up some of the items in that page... my mobo does well with the i7 processor and the ram and HD(prhaps I choose different models, etc)

[strike]Is there any software to see how the processor is doing with my current MOBO?[/strike]

Is it really that bad to play games? I really don't know much about computers, not trying to show off anything btw.. legit question I haven't been using this pc for gaming (for like a year) due to this

I don't know if everything is compatible, but i know 2 things:
the i7 with a 7870 is a good choice for the money, with windows 7 and a monitor!
And CS:GO doesn't need that much, and BF3 is very playable on a 7870.
Good luck! :p

Thanks for replying.

I got the monitor for 60$ bucks on a random store (probably second handed) and getting the graphics card for free thanks to a random good guy on the internet

True I got the i7 a year ago when i didn't really play games, what I'm upgrading from this rig is the GPU i'm probably getting the GPU in a few hours :bounce:

Any more opinions? I'd appreciate guys

I have no idea how you scored a free 7870. that's crazy, be careful of things that are too good to be true.

btw, don't worry about the low score on the build. I scored it low cuz I thought you picked the parts now and were gonna buy those. However, since you already had most components already it changes things. Overall the system is good, a 7.

Also, with a7870 you can play Battlefield 3 on Ultra. Enjoy!
