My fiancee has gotten a new Nokia 6610i and I'm trying to install
Nokia PC Suite (version 6.41 and 6.5, have tried both) in our PC.
Everything looks good but just before finishing installing (while
displaying "Publishing...." it suddenly stops and just says
"Installation aborted". No further description of the problem :-(
Anyone know how to find out what is the problem here?
Is there a way to debug the installation (a log file)?
BTW: IrDa Monitor sees the phone if I enable Infrared on it, and I
have used my own phone (a 6310i) with Oxygen Phone Manager so the
IR-stuff works.

I had also a problem upgrading 6.1 to 6.41 I think the microsft
installer (msi) gets corrupted. I deleted that and replaced with a fresh
install. After that I could install the Nokia suite.

Everything seem to work OK until the last part of the installation.
Tried cleaning up and getting the latest (6.4) but that didn't help.
How do I completly clean up (the way you did) and is there a way to
make Install Shield create a log file (do see what went wrong)?
I'm really stock (thinking about extending my OPM2 licence to support
one more phone, but the upgrade links down't work, and today the OPM-2
support mail bounces as well, so that's not an option right now :-)
