My dad needs a new computer for his business, he has been using a 9 year old HP computer with An AMD Athlon 64 and its getting i bit old now.
He needs a new computer that can run 8 to 9 programs at once, thats why i suggested him a quad core. He doesnt want a discrete GPU so he will use the integrated one but he wants to be able to run 2 monitors if needed in the future so AMD Bulldozer is out of the question. We are left with an Intel i5 and AMD APU. The Budget is $700 (Including keyboard and monitor) but lower is better. This is not the 1st computer that ive built so i know all the parts that i need. I do not want or need an SSD.
As you can see for a low end i5 you can get a High end A8.
Can the AMD APU's integrated graphics run 2 displays?
Also in both builds there is no Case, that is because i havent chosen one. My dad wants a small PC unlike mine which has a Corsair 500R. I was thinking an mATX case but someing cheap, something under $100.
But i also though ITX motherboards with a Bitfenix Prodigy but the cost of an ITX board is more or less the same of mATX board. Would you recommend an ITX board? and which one would you recommend?
My dad wants a 24'' monitor, 23.6'' is almost 24''. He also wants something with built-in speakers as he rarely uses speakers and doesnt want any clutter on his desk.
Also if i build any one of these systems, will it last for over 5 years? i think so. The HDD may fail so except that will it live long?
He also wont OC so he doesnt need fancy heatsinks, stock one will do.
