Hello! :hello:  Alright so I'm building a high end gaming PC. I'm stuck between ASUS GTX680-DC2T-2GD5 GeForce GTX 680 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card and the GIGABYTE GV-N680OC-2GD GeForce GTX 680 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card.

LINK FOR GIGABYTE CARD:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The ASUS one is $540 compared to the GIGABYTE card which is $470. Prices are off of newegg.

The ASUS card has a core clock of 1137MHz and a boost clock of 1201MHz while the GIGABYTE card has a core clock of 1017 MHz and a boost clock of 1137 MHz. This looks like the main difference between the two cards other then the price.

Now what I'm asking. Do you think I should pay the extra $70 for the ASUS card to get 120 MHz difference for core clock and a 64 MHz difference for boost clock?

Post below guys! Thanks everyone!

Neither. Here's the thing - a 680 is only 5% more powerful than a 670, for $100 more. The ones that you're looking at are closer to $150 more. It's just not worth it - especially when a slight overclock on a 670 will tie it with those cards.

Actually I'm checking into the 670 vs 680 right now. I might make a switch but I'll see.
