Mechanical problem with Sony MDP-333

I have an old Sony MDP-333 that has been in storage. It worked fine when I
put it away a couple of years ago, but now it will hardly even play a disc.
I can hear it spin up but no picture comes then I have a hard time getting
the disc out. I just want to get it working well enough to record my
laserdisc
collection to avi's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
