Ok, so I just built a new PC about a week ago, but I'm having one slight issue so far. It freezes randomly while gaming, three times so far, twice while playing CoD4 (not a very demanding game, so surprising to me) and once while playing Metro 2033 (very demanding game, not so surprising). Everything else, as far as I can tell, is working perfectly. I've fully updated Windows 7 and installed the drivers from my mobo's DVD, but it's still happening. I tried to get a reading of my CPU's temps right after a freeze, but they seemed normal in the BIOS (about 30C). The only thing I can think of is that these games simply can't be played on the IGP (yes, I know, but I'm getting a real GPU in a month or two), but that doesn't make much sense to me as I was playing the games on lower settings and CoD4 seems to do well on the Intel HD4000, according to benchmarks I've seen. So, any ideas? Do I just need to wait for a real graphics card, or is there something really wrong here?
Here are my specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k @ stock clocks
CPU Cooler: Stock Intel heatsink fan (need to upgrade that, too)
