I am trying to reinstall java, and now suddenly I get the errormessage

jre1.6.0_27-c-l.msi is on a removable disc or drive. which cannot be true, I am not able to do anything; I cannot manually desinstall it, nor can I install something.

what can I do? someone went through this problem?

Run uninstaller cleanup tool

You can uninstall via add/remove programs in the control panel.

or try something like revo uninstaller.

thanks there, the uninstaller in the control panel bugged out too, same error message.

but the revouninstaller actually worked. you saved me a lot of time from formatting my laptop.
