i got the ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 and Intel Core i5-3470 Ivy Bridge 3.2GHz as a
combo 4 $419 is that a bad deal

or
asrock h77m

they are much cheaper and suitable for non-OC i5

btw the combo isnt appealing, i5 3470 cost 190 and z77 sabertooth costs 220-230

You can't OC at a later time if you have a locked CPU is the point. Yes your build "works" it just doesn't make sense.
