Have a question about drivers

hey guys this is my first time at this site so i dont really know which place to send this thread and i am guessing this one.
i am not the greatest on computers but more of a car guy and my friends tell me that i should be updatign my drivers from time to time. i really dont know what that means nor do i know how to do it. but my laptop gives me this info:

Acer Aspire 7551g-5821
AMD phenom 11 x4 mobile processor n930 (2ghz)
ati mobility radeon hd 5650 up to 2815 MB Hyper MEmory
4 gb DDR# Memory
500 gb gb hdd

first of all did you have any problem with your games? if not you can keep it as it is if you want to. most of the time people update the driver because the new driver often bring performance improvement for newly release games. other than that the new driver also include bug fix that may present on the older driver
