Hello,
I now have the fx 8350 piledriver 8 core processor chip and a 3d benq 120 mhz monitor would it be worth getting a second gigabyte gtx 670 my motherboard is the gigabyte GA-990xa-ud3 so it can sli, I'm happy with my setup but would it make a difference? and if not WHY?

It would make a difference massively as you would get smoother gameplay on that 120hz screen.

You might bottleneck them with that CPU.

If you're willing to shell out the money, go for it. And yeah, like said above, you will get much smoother gameplay on that 120Hz monitor with that setup.

Hmmm are you sure about bottleneck though the fx8350 now has bigger cache's and is in between the i5 and i7 in performance it also runs at 4ghz and can boost to 4.2 or higher amd has sorted there old problems of bottlenecking i thought, i cannot believe they would bring that cpu out and not sorted bottleneck problems I COULD BE WRONG though lol

It's actually slower then an I5 for gaming purposes by a fair amount.

To be fair you would notice it more at lower resolutions or heavy CPU bound games.

Definitely worth going SLI though with that monitor.

I cannot believe that intel are the only chips which will not bottleneck in sli amd must be able to do the same?

They are way behind on per clock performance making 4ghz 30% slower than 4ghx on intel.

Considering both reach about the same oc (intel usually higher on these new chips as the 8 core is a huge power draw and heat dump when oc'd) the AMD chip is left in the dust.
