Good for gaming?

Last response: in Systems

will this setup be good for gaming? I'm not really sure about the graphics card. Should I get lesser card and go with an upgrade later, or is this a good card? Is 16gb memory overkill? And is a 32gb ssd large enough? input, thnx

3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3770 processor (up to 3.90 GHz)
16GB Dual Channel DDR3 1600MHz
Blu-ray Combo Drive (BD-R, DVD+/-RW), Write to CD/DVD
2TB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive + Intel® SRT 32GB SSD Cache
AMD Radeon™ HD 7770 2GB GDDR5

More about : good gaming

The 3570k processor is a better choice for gaming . Cheaper and the same performance

you need 2 x 4 gig of RAM for a gamer . More wont help

a graphics card needs to be matched to the resolution of the screen you use . More pixels = more calculations. The 7770 is lower end of the mid range and not a great gamer at 1080p resolution

dell 30" @ 2660x 1600, but I can adjust it. far cry 3, assassins creed 1 and 2,all 3 hit man series. I was thinking a GeForce GTX 670 2 GB GDDR5, but it requires 500w, and this system only has 460w. is 40w shy going to fry my system?

Always run the screen at its native resolution

I would think a GTX 670 is going to perform well at that resolution , but you will be turning some image details down in some games

I would not use any card less powerful .
And if it means a psu upgrade , then get one
