Ok my onboard sound does not work. Not to be ignorant or anything but i have tried EVERYTHING EVERYTHING to try fix the no sound from back panel sound ports. I can not hear anything just a buzzing noise. Does the motherboard have anything to do with this because i plan to buy a sound card as a quick and easy solution to this problem. Will having a motherboard that doesnt have any sound effect the sound card too?
quick responses please :D

No. The motherboard should not have any affect on the use of a discrete sound card.

He's right. If you want to be sure, just disable onboard sound in the BIOS when you use a discrete sound card but either way that card will become the default sound device.
