I wanted to say this is my first post, but I highly recommend this forum board as I used it to research the different parts for this current computer build a while back, thanks.

My question is what would be a good step forward for a graphics card. My graphics card is good and but with the all the mods I use for Skyrim and gaming it is starting to fall behind. I would like to get another mid-range gaming Geforce card like the geforce 460 was. I am looking for something longterm and budget friendly, not top shelf. Also my intentions was to SLI x2 460's with this and able with hardware but not due to the prices of the 460's changing my mind. My budget is about $200 range. What are you all ideas?

Games Played ie:
Skyrim (I heavily mod the game)
CIV5
Assassin's Creed III
Diablo 3 - not so much now
(would play MMOs but none interest me used to do WoW and Everquest while back)

Computer Build:
Intel I5 2500k
Master Cool HAF 922 case (3 fans)
ASUS 24x DVD drive
Antec High Current Gamer HCG-900 900w Power Supply
Asus P8Z77-V Pro Intel Z77 1155 Motherboard
Cooler Master Hyper 612 CPU Cooler
SEAGATE 750GB MOMENTUS XT Hard Drive
Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1333MHz DDR3 240-Pin Desktop Memory, Model# CML8GX3M2A1333C9
ASUS VH238H 23" Class Widescreen LED Backlit Monitor - 1920 x 1080, 16:9, 50000000:1 Dynamic, 2ms, HDMI, DVI, VGA, Energy Star
EVGA GTX460 256 bit, 1GB SC 01G-P3-1372-TR
Windows 7 Home Premium

Approx Purchase Date and Budget: Jan-Feb 2013 (after xmas sales), $200 range

Preferred Websites: I have used Frys, Tigerdirect, Amazon, NewEgg, open for ideas (within USA)

Prefered Parts: Geforce brand, prefer EVGA if all possible

Overclocking: Yes, build compliments that

Possible ideas I was looking into: Another Geforce 460 and SLI, or EVGA Geforce 460 (found some sales for 200$ range), or Geforce 660.

GTX460 in SLI is quite formidable but since you're implying that you're heavily play skyrim with mod does the 1GB of VRAM of GTX460 does not bother you? the 660 comes standard with 2GB of VRAM but it does cost more than $200 without MIR

Thanks. Yes good point 1 gb is limitation for me with Skyrim. The geforce 660 was more in my price range vs geforce 660 ti but still unsure of $80-100 price difference.

I'd definitely +1 the GTX660 - the Ti doesn't really add much for the extra. You're looking at typically around 10% gain (bit more in some games, less in others). GTX660 is a really excellent choice here and will deliver similar framerates to dual GTX460s but with much smoother, more consistent delivery.

+1 for the GTX 660 if you have the cash for it.
