Hello,

This will be my first build and I don't know all the odds and ends of video cards just yet. After much consideration I decided on the gtx 650ti. And after further research I've decided on EVGA's.

Now... I'm looking at two cards: the 1 gb 1.07Ghz http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-01gp43652kr and the 2gb 928Mhz http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-02gp43651kr

My question is... since the 2gb version is only $10 more, is the extra gb in memory worth the extra $10 even though it is at the cost of 100Mhz or whatever? I know this is being very picky but overall I am spending a lot of money on this rig and I want to get the best out of it.

THANKS in advance! :)

I'm getting the EVGA 650ti SSC 1gb and from reviews the difference is small, the 660ti has 2gb stock and this is card is less powerful than that, so it should not need 2gb... I recommend the 1gb... What games do you plan on playing?

Get the 1gb version, i have it, and it runs like a beast.
With the card's small memory bandwith there is no point having a 2Gb version - 1Gb is all you need! Becasue of the limited bandwith the card wouldn't fully utilize 2Gb.
