I installed the suite and tried to syncronize...
I always get the same error:

PC Sync information.

The mobile phone has not responded.

Possible Solution

Please ensure your phone is in the Idle state showing your network
provider's logo, then restart the Synchronisation.

What does it means ???
My phone is in Idle state...

I own a Nokia 7710.
Please help me...

May sound obvious, but have you downloaded the frivers from Nokias site?

You don't say how the phone and pc are connected - the following
applies to Nokia USB cable.
Well I've just spent 2 days trying to get PC Suite 6.5.10 to work and
have even contacted Nokia.
You WILL need XP with SP2 on your PC.

Nokia suggested a clean install with all A-V s/ware disabled but I
found this made no difference.
I have tried manually removing all registry entries to Nokia and a
clean installed - makes no difference.
They also suggested "restore" of the phone's PC Suite profile each
time I re-install. First time I did this I could synch Outlook (joy !)
but nothing else worked !!
I have tried different USB ports - no difference.
I have gone back to previous version of PC Suite - no difference.
The current situation I have is this:-
(1) I can now synchronise Outlook emails, contacts and calender.
(2) The phone is recognised by PC Sync but no other files or data can
be transferred from the pc to the 9300.
(3) I get a whole variety of error messages depending which bit of PC
Suite I try and use (except the synch).
(4) If a try and transfer an mp3 file to the phone then all appears to
be going well but there's NEVER any data transferred to the phone.
(5) If a sub routine of PC Suite fails then I find there are random
"phone disconnected" messages. The phone IS connected and no amount of
USB reconnecting will show this. A reboot is necessary and even then
the connection is variable.

What has stopped me waiting to get Nokia Tech Support to answer
another call is that I have installed PC Suite on another pc and the
damn thing works fine. Both machines are running XP (SP2), they're
Dells with 3Ghz Pentiums and both have plenty of RAM. However there
are differences and I've yet to find if they are significant. My pc
runs Norton A-V whereas other pc runs MacAfee (both were disabled for
the install anyway !). The first pc also has various other security
progs installed but I have disabled these, without improvement.

I have looked tho' the various Nokia and Symbian buletin boards and
newsgroups and this is obviously a common problem. There has to be one
factor or prog which causes the difficulty on one pc but not another.

If only I could find it . . .
