be better off with a quadro. fx 4core. and this ssd . case and ps :)

The actual total after rebates is around $402. I got the memory for free as a combo on Newegg. I think the system will work out well.

One last noob question: will I need a cpu cooler for this setup?

yes because that cpu doesnt come with a retail heatsink.
