Dell generation 5 graphics card

Hello, help needed! i put an 8800 gts card in my pc a couple of years ago and it worked brilliantly until it fried. Ive oven baked it six times now and the time it lasts afterwards has decreased massively.

Whats the best card i can put in, with only one power connector in the dell and not looking for an upgraded power supply? Can i get a splitter to make one power connector run both power terminals on a newer graphics card?

If anyone can answer the splitter question that would be great - can you power a two connector graphics card off a one connector power supply (400W) wiith a splitter of some sort?
