I'm trying to build a gaming rig that can at least play Skyrim and Left 4 Dead 1/2 on ultra. Any recommendations or options before I buy the part?

You should be able to play at Ultra or pretty close to Ultra settings

although it aint a promise. Maybe Put a few extra bucks to a little better vid card to be alright for the future and be sure to run on ultra(although price after rebate is very tempting :p )

Pay a 5$ more and get like 2x4gb Ripjaws ram 1600 to replace the value ram

This mobo may be better
