Which middle range GPU should I buy?

I currently have a system with an Intel i3, 2100GT CPU and an NVidia Geforce 9700GT GPU. I'm looking to just the GPU to something with at least 1GB dedicated Video Ram, with Pixel and Vertex shaders version 5 and Direct X 10.
Are there any suggested models that aren't too expensive?

More about which middle range
  1. the 7850 1GB is a great lower cost card, but even with a MIR you are still looking at $165. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161402

If that is too much for your budget (which would be great for you to mention), then look at the 7770 ($130 or $110 after MIR) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161402

The Nvidia GTX 650 Ti splits the difference between these two at about $140 (120 after MIR), but the 7850 1gb is significantly better and the 7770 isn't that much slower. But this might give you an in between option. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130839
  2. I dont know your budget but here goes:

    SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition OC 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 $139

    SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100358VXL Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 $134

    SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 $109
  3. My budget would be under £100, which I reckon would be less $140 (because we get taxed out the ass in Britain).

+1 to that MSI at overclockers. Great price on a Ghz edition 7770. Go with that considering your budget and the strength of the 7770 in this price range.
