How to get the best performance out of my laptop

i want to get the most out of my laptop(performance) and i would spend no more than 20 bucks(and some time) to fix it i could install something if i have the money or i could get some gear idk... i have 2gb of ram, 2.2GHz, hd graphics family screen, 772 MB for graphics memory, and 265 GB free on my computer thanks!
