Hey guys, I was experimenting with some other processors for my cheap gaming build, and I came across these specifications.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor $87.99

Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard $53.99

Crucial Ballistix sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory $39.99

Hitachi 320GB 2.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $39.99

XFX Radeon HD 7850 1GB Video Card $139.99

Cooler Master Elite 311 (Blue) ATX Mid Tower Case $27.99

Logisys 480W ATX12V Power Supply $19.99

I was wondering if you guys could tell me any better parts for this build, or if anything is incompatible.
Also, I was looking to find a cheap cooler because I may be overclocking the 965BE.
Thanks :D

for cooler - cooler master 212 evo

and change that psu to antec/corsair/xfx/silverstone.
450 - 550w should be enough. at least 80+ bronze quality

http://pcpartpicker.com/b/zXU. It's got a better overall system better memory PSU CPU and case. Only sacrifice is the gtx 650ti a touch slower than the 7850 but 110 for a 650ti is a steal its your choice though get a cheaper case and memory and get a AMD 7850

Don't go cheap on the PSU, you will regret it when that crap explodes and destroy your system. Cheap PSUs = Cheap components.

Totally I'm glad that when I was a newbie a couple years back.my buddy at the time convinced me to get a better quality PSU the only good cheap PSU in my opinion is the corsair builder series also the PSU I linked him was a antec 80 plus 620 watt for 29.99 great deal and a good PSU company

Would a cooler master 450w suffix for my build? PCparts picker says that in total it would take about 354 watts.

No because there's better power supplies in same price bracket look at the antec 620 watt in the link in my previous post its 29.99 after Mir and a much better choice

It won't reach that, also don't get the cooler master psu, there's the XFX 450W, or the antec vp-450, here's a cheap list of your parts with a decent psu : http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/ALIU

The new build seems good, with just one small issue is that the HDD is 3gb/s while the mother board can support 6gb/s . Is there going to much of a difference (for mainly gaming) if I get a 6gb/s HDD over 3gb/s? Also, I plan to use my old HDD as the 2nd drive which is also 3gb/s (250gb).

No for a hdd there's no difference at all, it won't take advantage of the sata III ports, only a ssd.

Thats great to know :D  And since I want to be playing games like bf3,bf4, crysis 3, do you think I need a better gfx card to run high/max at 1280x720?

IS there a reason why the prices are going so high now?

Price variations, that's why you should buy the stuff within no more than a week, because the prices vary a lot, some deals go pretty fast.
