hi guys
i m having a intel i3 3.2 processor
intel original dh55tc with 2.0 x16 slot
and looking forward to buy geforce 640gt 3.0 ,2gb
so any body can suggsest me that shoud i go for it?i m confused bcoz my bother slot is 2.0 and this graphic is 3.0.plz guys help me.or any other graphic card suggetion

all the pci express 3.0 graphic cards are backwards compatible so you don't need to worry.

gddr5 is the video memory used in newer cards, doesn't affect
any other part of your system

BTW, dj suggested some good alternatives for GPU if you can spend a little
more than $75

It's better than the 2GB DDR3 of the 640 gt.

In my opinion not worth it, the 550ti and 7750 offers the same performance for less price.

Hi again - the gddr5 is in the GPU, it doesn't affect your MOBO
or any other parts of your system.

And again dj has given good suggestions on GPU's

Yes, it doesn't affect, i feel compelled to ask, what's your psu ?
Because the 650 and 550 ti requires more power and a pcie 6-pin connector than the 640 gt or 7750.
