A shooting report in the new

Looks like it's good in the 35-70 range but not so good at either end.

"There has always been war. War is raging throughout the world
at the present moment. And there is little reason to believe
that war will cease to exist in the future. As man has become
increasingly civilized, his means of destroying his fellow man
have become ever more efficient, cruel and devastating.
Is it possible to put an end to a form of human behavior which
has existed throughout history by means of photography?
The proportions of that notion seem ridiculously out of balance.
Yet, that very idea has motivated me.

The guy posted the same thing in another forum... and no samples.

The question for me is should I replace my recently purchased 28 - 135 IS
with the new 24 - 105 IS L series lens. I am not unhappy with the 28 - 135
but would like the fixed F4 over the entire range compared to the changing
28 - 135. Would not be happy if the optical quality was lower on the 24 as
opposed to the 28. Any views?

regards
