Hey everybody, I'm usually a pretty self sufficient with my pc, and haven't had a problem google couldn't solve for me til now. My pc for starters is as follows:
Windows 7 64bit
Phenom II 1055T stock clocks
8 GB Patriot DDR3
MSI N460GTX Cyclone stock clocks Drivers 310.70(beta)
For the last month or so, I've had the most annoying problem. When i take my hand off the mouse, for what seems to be any longer than 20-30 seconds, and then resume to move the mouse, my monitor(s) go black for only about a second. I could almost look past this, only it's been crashing programs, and messing up youtube and other such streaming media. The only change i can think of that took place around the time this problem started was installing Daemon Tools. I used to do alot of overclocking but have become rusty over the last year, my bios is untouched as of yet. The Pc has been completed and running flawlessly since windows 7 came out. I've clean re-installed nvidia drivers, unplugged 2nd monitor, changed power options to high peformance. I'm wondering if it has to do with cpu or gpu downclocking while idle, or possible power options malfunctioning, or even video drivers, just not sure. In the meantime, i will try older nvidia drivers, any help would be greatly appreciated.
