I'm building a new desktop build (along with a server build, but, that's a different thread) for my new household that I moved into a couple weeks ago (Been using a laptop. OS has been freezing, power supply has kept cutting me off in some kind of anti-serge attempt whenever I load up a high end program (such as a game, which, the laptop it's self could handle, GTX560M could handle CS:S)), anyway, so, I'm looking at graphics cards and I feel as though I want to go full out, three 1920x1080 120Hz (5760x1080) monitors for surround gaming, however, I'm just wondering:-
How well can a single GTX690 cope with surround? I don't normally play high-end games (I normally stick to my good old valve games which can be run on a 1995 card), however, when I do kick open a high-end game on ultra settings, I'd like to still see a good frame rate (Possibly 120? Considering I am spending almost double on the monitors than a 60Hz one) on them. May I ask how well the GTX690 does on them? I couldn't really find any bench marks (All were the standard 1920x1080).
Oh, and, although I doubt I'll ever use the 3D (I have it on my laptop, I've used it twice since I got it ~ a year ago), how well would it work at running high-end stuff at surround (5760x1080) 3D (I've already found single surround sound here)?
