Hi,

After a couple of days of researching different graphic cards I finally decided I'm going to go for the Sapphire HD 7950 Vapor-X (it'll be my Christmas present ) but I'm a little concerned about whether my PSU will hold it just fine. My setup goes as follows:

Motherboard: Foxconn H77M-S
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770 @ 3.40GHz
RAM: 4 x DDR3 ASint 4GB 1333 BUS speed
PSU: CWT GPA500T 500w
HDD_1: 117GB Seagate ST3120213AS ATA Device (SATA)
HDD_2: 1954GB Seagate ST2000DL003-9VT166 ATA Device (SATA)
OS: MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

Any insights? Also I'm entirely open for recommendations as to any other GPUs I should/could get. Budget is around £230 (I might be able to stretch it just a little)

I will be playing most recent games, more specifically: Assassin's Creed 3, Max Payne 3, Far Cry 3 and the likes. And of course I'd like to have them all maxed out at around 60-70 fps.
Another thing worth mentioning is my VGA monitor has a resolution of 1440x900 and I have no intentions of upgrading it (just for now)

Thanks in advance

First of all, the Sapphire HD 7950 OC Vapor-X is a very great choice.

Second, i'm afraid you'll need to change that PSU. But just to be sure, you must check the 12V+ rail amperage on your actual PSU to know if it can feed that monster, it has to be at least of 35A.
