How much are you looking to spend?
2? 2.1? 4.1? 5.1?

Opps.. well I took care of the speaker part now I need a sound card to go with it....

Any Suggestions?

I was thinking about the game theater or the santa cruz, maybe the acoustic edge?

I would like 5.1 and good sound, I am using the Klipsch promedia 5.1, so something to compliment the system, I don't mind spending a little $ but I am not after all the bells and whistles, I just want good 5.1 surround sound. Thanks for the reply

Either the GTXP or Santa Cruz will work. They're practically the same card (since they use the same chip).

Between the GTXP and the Santa Cruz, I say go with the SC since Hercules never release new drivers and your not after all the bells and whistles.

The frequent or infrequent release of drivers does not imply driver quality, although it does mean they are slower to fix problems. I have had no problems whatsoever with my GTXP.

But the Santa Cruz is the better card of the two for most people, as not many will use the extra features the GTXP offers, and it'll merely be a burden (having to use the external rack).
