Can this computer run a server?

I got a specialized gaming rig and I think I'm going to use my old laptop to run a Minecraft Tekkit server.

i5-430m 2.26GHz(2.5GHz turbo)
4GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics.

How will this do?
I'm new to servers, so please forgive me if i sound stupid

Yes you can run a minecraft server, depends how big tho, just you and some friends any you will be fine

If you trying to do 100's of people your going to have some trouble
