Hello there,

I have recently looked into building a budget desktop computer capable of playing games that are coming out this year (Rome Total War 2, Company of Heroes 2) on low to medium graphics. I've come up with the following list of components, if anyone could come up with any improvements or sees any issues, feedback would be much appreciated!

AMD Athlon II X4;

Asus AMD Radeon HD 7750 Graphics Card;

CiT Wraith Interior Mesh Case with 500W 12cm PSU;

Biostar A780L3C Socket AM3 VGA 6 Channel Audio mATX Motherboard;

Kingston 4GB DDR3 1066MHz Memory;

Samsung SH-118AB 18x DVD ROM Drive;

Seagate 500GB Barracuda Internal Hard Drive.

Thanks in advance, Jake.

Ideally I am looking to spend no more than £250, but could probably stretch to a little bit more if it meant a big improvement in performance.

This is a bit over budget, but will serve you nicely. Depending on your resolution you will probably be able to get medium settings in modern games.
