[HELP] Dual-monitors setup - Switch off 1 monitor, other also goes off

I'm having a problem with my dual-monitors setup.
My system is GIGABYTE GA-F2A85X-UP4 motherboard with AMD A10-5800K APU (no discrete graphics card). Windows 8 x64 is installed.
The 2 monitors are Samsung TV and DELL monitor.

The problem started from yesterday. Everytime I switched off the Samsung TV, the DELL monitor also went off as if there was no signal going into the monitor.
It did not matter what mode I set to (duplicate, extend, single monitor), as soon as I switched off the TV, the DELL monitor (primary display) went off.
The problem did not happen initially. Initially, when I switched off the TV, it automatically switched to single display mode on my DELL monitor.

Please kindly advise.

Thank you.

  1. Bump...
  2. As they are showing same desktop, they thought that you are closing both of them.
If you don't want the TV remove the Plug from it.
  3. I use the PC for media playback and web surfing.
When I don't watch movie, I want to turn off the TV and use only my monitor to surf web.
So, unplug the TV HDMI cable physically is very troublesome.

The thing is that I did not have this issue initially.
  4. You should be able to do that by going into Screen Resolution and disabling the TV from the list of Displays.
  5. The problem is caused by AMD Catalyst program.
Don't really know why. I uninstalled it and things are back to normal.
