SLI and 990FX

Howdy all, so when I was in the market for my Nvidia card I heard and read all kinds of issues with the amd 990fx chipset not supporting SLI configurations on the Kepler series from ASUS and Nvidia forums. Does anybody know if the situation has been rectified with BIOS updates? Thanks.
