Hey guys, I'm building my first gaming PC and here's what I have so far:

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
Memory: Patriot Signature 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB Video Card
Case: Cooler Master HAF XB (Black) ATX Desktop Case
Power Supply: SeaSonic 620W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply

I was going to go with the i5 but the price difference at Microcenter is $40 so I thought why not

My biggest questions are with the motherboard, video card, and case. Would this setup be good for gaming? Would you suggest any different motherboards, cases, or video cards? I'm pretty set on the GTX 670; was just unsure on the brand. Other cases I'm looking at are the NZXT Phantom 410 and CM HAF 932 Advanced. Thanks!

Yeah I agree here.

Also the EVGA card is good, but the Gigabyte Windforce 3X has a better cooling solution, you might want to consider that.

Dude, you are set for a good while. Good build. If I may add, I'm also building an i5 3570k + MSI 670 PE + Asrock Extreme4 z77. Of course I don't have a MicroCenter around so I don't get super good deals but I got a TigerDirect store close by, with a really competitive price on hardware. For the case, just go to the store and open them up and crap. See what they have inside and don't hesitate to ask the workers questions.

You must make sure it's an ATX case and not a microATX or some other thing.
