Had the game for about a week now and at the beginning it was fine not a problem, but now a lot further on in the game it keeps freezing. My clock settings where at 1125/1600mhz but decided to move them back to the stock clocks for that card, 1050/1425mhz and its not as bad but it will freeze eventually. Is anyone having the same problems?

What do you mean by freezing? like the game crashes or stops responding? or do you mean theres excessive stuttering and lag making the game unplayable.

I've had some issues with my 7970s as well, though different than yours. Certain portions of the game run really, really slow. Like, 1 FPS. Minimum framerate at all other times is ~70. Happens mostly at the end of cutscenes.

My overclocked 670 had issues playing for more than 5 minutes before it would lock up. I dropped my clock speeds by 50mhz and its been solved.... Not sure if playing with that will help more.

Could be a hardware/software thing that may require a Patch from the developer. Anyone else remember the horrid DX11 issues with Batman: Arkham city? If not then makes sure Video and AUDIO drivers are up to date. Audio drivers work very simple code in the windows environment. But once you start a game, they start processing much more complex code. Audio drivers will cause horrid issues sometimes
Just sayin :D

Its weird cos i had all graphic settings on ultra except msaa i had off. Now i turned it on too 4 because it runs perfectly fine with it on and it hasn't stopped responding or frozen at all, and ive pushed it up to 1125/1600mhz. Dunno why it doesn't do it now but as long as it stays like this i'm happy :D.

Whats your fps at those setting just curious and i have a 7950 and never had any problems with Farcry 3. I get an average of 42 fps on same setting except 8xmsaa my gpu is at 1224 mhz core and 1720 mhz memory.

also might as well ask instead of starting a new thread. what is stock voltage for a 7970 reference card? Ive heard some are different because of clock settings. mines a vtx3d running at as i said 1050/1425 stock with 1.131v.

my volts are at 1.232v and i get around 74 c on full load sometimes 78 almost never see past 74 though.

Fair enough I got my voltage at 1.131 1125/1600mhz I have pushed it past 1200/1700 but may be getting another 7970 plus with most games I normally only hit just above 60c except switcher 2 and far cry 3 they get 66c. You have a pretty good over clock for a 7950 I'm guessing seeings some 7970`s can't reach that.

Thanks man and i know i got lucky with the ocing but temps are *** cause XFX Double Dissipation on the 7950 specifically sucks and I have to put the fans at 100% to keep those moderately high temps where they are, although the gpu itself was lucky cause of the oc it gets.

i just put my gpu too 1180/1600mhz. Cant increase memory until i unlock it but with those settings my card doesnt like it at 1180mhz but runs at 1150mhz with 1.160 which is good enough, but i know my memory can be clocked higher because i used to have it at 1700mhz for some time. Also about the average fps with msaa 4 id say so far lows of high 30s and outside i can get around 70 odd fps and average would be round 50 is what i normally get. when im using 1125/1600mhz i tend to just use 60% fan speed that tends to keep it cool. is your card a reference card?

I believe the XFX double D is a reference card with there heatsink and fans on it. But idk for sure.
