Which gpu's are recommended with my build?

BUDGET RANGE: my pc build is $1600 and i already covered about $1300

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, watching tv/movies

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: this is my first gpu, corsair hx850

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: i5 3570k, samsung ram, z77 extrmem4 mobo, sc storm stryker

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg, amazon

PARTS PREFERENCES: dont care

OVERCLOCKING: Yes

SLI/Crossfire: MAybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920X1080

So you have a budget of $1600 for a GPU???
If so then get GTX 690. Done.

if your budget is 600 and not 1600 then a gtx 680 or amd 7970 would be good. and if your budget is 1600 then you might be able to squeeze 2 690s in. and if your budget is 160 which is the most likely price range then a amd 7850 would be the best

if that $1600 is for just the graphics, you could get the gtx 690, simply put, it is the fastest single card on the planet. if not, i'd recommend 2 gtx 660s in sli, which cost about $460, but offers performance better than any single gpu card (not counting gtx 690). if you want AMD, which I dont recommend, the 7870 is amazing performance per buck.

So the Budget is 500$ ? So get GTX 680.

Or else if you find that Costly, then get GTX 670 and overclock it.

OC 670 = GTX 680 stock

Its a most factory OC card. Good cooling too.

Please no AMD, Many of them stutter and bad quality image.

Search any GTX 670 in that range.
No matter which brand. The main is the GTX 670 chip inside.
But find a good Cooling card as the Gigabyte ones. (3 fan card)
So that you can OC it really high.

what about a 7970 ghz edition vs a 670??

Well in terms of FPS, The 7970 Ghz beats 670.
But fps is't right always.

Maybe if you can then get a 7970 for few days, try it out nicely. And if you like it then keep it.
