Which gpu's are recommended with my build?

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: 1-2 weeks

BUDGET RANGE: my pc build is $1600 and i already covered about $1300

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, watching tv/movies

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: this is my first gpu, corsair hx850

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: i5 3570k, samsung ram, z77 extrmem4 mobo, sc storm stryker

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg, amazon

PARTS PREFERENCES: dont care

OVERCLOCKING: Yes

SLI/Crossfire: MAybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920X1080

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: none

Well in terms of FPS, The 7970 Ghz beats 670.
But fps is't right always.

Maybe if you can then get a 7970 for few days, try it out nicely. And if you like it then keep it.

if your budget is 600 and not 1600 then a gtx 680 or amd 7970 would be good. and if your budget is 1600 then you might be able to squeeze 2 690s in. and if your budget is 160 which is the most likely price range then a amd 7850 would be the best

if that $1600 is for just the graphics, you could get the gtx 690, simply put, it is the fastest single card on the planet. if not, i'd recommend 2 gtx 660s in sli, which cost about $460, but offers performance better than any single gpu card (not counting gtx 690). if you want AMD, which I dont recommend, the 7870 is amazing performance per buck.
